🦊 Freshmen, listen up! 🦊
Overslept your first lectures? Sick of eating pasta with minced meat every day? Spending way too much money at Möku and Seik?
If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, you’ve already jumped headfirst into Tartu student life. But now it’s time to officially earn your status as a true student.
During the Freshmen Initiation, you’ll conquer all the obstacles you’ll face in the years ahead. Come and prove you’re ready for the challenge!
🦊 The Freshmen Initiation takes place on September 26th, starting at 18:00 in Pirogov Park.
âť— The event requires pre-registration and is FREE.
đź“Ś Registration opens on September 8 at 18:00.
🕑 Arrive 10–15 minutes before your chosen time slot and bring an ID. Only participants aged 18+ will be allowed on the course.
👗 Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!
And to make everything official – every real student must head straight to the Fresh Meat Party afterwards!
Freshman initiation was first organized in 2017, but back then it was held in the Town Hall Square and on a Thursday.
Over the years, all kinds of challenges have been featured — such as crowd surfing, slip’n’slide, airbag, arch bridge, sexy poses, and much more.

At the very first Freshman Initiation, 300 participants showed up, and now there are over 100% more.

Rules
Freshmen Initiation takes place on 26.09.2025 at 18:00-22:00.
The event takes place in Pirogovi park.
Please arrive 10-15 mintues before your chosen time slot.
Registration takes place via the registration form which can be found on our homepage www.studentdays.ee and under the Facebook event.
Registration starts on SEPTEMBER 8th at 18:00.
Participants must be over 18 years of age. The event is aimed at students who are just starting their university studies. Participants get a cheaper ticket to our Fresh Meat Party!
Event Rules
- The organizer of the event does not take responsibility for injuries or damage to the health of the participants that occurred during the event. Every participant is responsible for their own safety and health.Â
- Every participant must be aware of the competition rules and sign a waiver.
- The trail is completed with a companion, but it is not necessary to show up with a friend. Details related to completing the course are introduced on the spot.
- The track can only be completed once.
- Obstacles must be completed only in the intended way.
- Deliberately breaking the track and equipment is prohibited.
- The safety requirements, which are explained to the participants at the event, must be adhered to.
- By registering for the competition, the participant confirms that they agree to all the rules of the competition.
- By registering for the competition, the participant consents to being photographed or filmed by photographers and videographers present at the event.
The organizers of Freshman Initiation reserve the right to modify the rules and terms of the contest. All participants will be notified of the changes before the start of the competition.
