The biggest competition of the spring Mud Wrestling is back in its legendary location – Town Hall Square! 💪🔥
And of course we are back bigger than ever.
Both women and men are welcome to participate and this fun is completely FREE! 🤩
Competition system: women and men will compete in different categories, each of which will determine the top three. Winners will receive amazing prizes. 🥇

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
🤼♂️ Registration starts on April 4th at 18:00!!
🤼♂️ You must be 18+ to participate (bring an ID).
🤼♂️ We are waiting for participants at 20:30.
🤼♂️ We recommend bringing a towel(s), flip-flops, warm change of clothes, water and/or a thermos bottle.
🤼♂️ Competitors can relax in the barrel sauna.
🏆 Winners receive the belt of champion.
PS! If you don’t dare to compete yourself yet, then definitely come to cheer your friends!
NB! By attending the event, you consent to being filmed and photographed, and to the use and distribution of these recordings in various formats and channels in the future.
In the past, all participants have also competed against each other at the same time.
At the first Mud Wrestling event, only women participated.
A live broadcast of the Mud Wrestling event will be streamed on our YouTube channel for the second time.

Rules
Event info
- Mud Wrestling will take place on May 3rd from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Tartu Town Hall Square.
- The event is free, and participants should arrive 30 minutes earlier.
Registration
- Registration for the event starts on April 4th and 18.00.
- You can register via the Tartu Student Days website or through the Form available under the Facebook event. Registered participants must check in with the organizers upon arrival and sign a liability waiver
Restrictions
Participants must be at least 18 years old and sober.
Rules
- The competition is divided into two categories: men and women.
- If the wrestlers have an equal score at the end of the match, they will have 30 seconds of extra time. If no throw is executed during this time, the judges will decide the winner based on who was more active.
- The match duration is 90 seconds.
- The following actions are prohibited: scratching, hair pulling, hitting, biting, pushing the opponent’s head into the mud, and other unsportsmanlike conduct.
The first minor violation results in a warning, and the second violation leads to disqualification and victory for the opponent. An extreme unsportsmanlike action results in immediate disqualification. - If a throw is performed as a result of a minor unintentional violation, no point is awarded for the throw, and the participant receives a warning.
- Each throw generally earns 1 point for the more active competitor – the one who lands on top.
If both competitors fall on their sides simultaneously and it is unclear who executed the throw or who should be awarded the point, no points are given. - A visually impressive throw, where the opponent is thrown flat on their back, is awarded 2 points. The judges will assess the visual appeal of the throw.
- The participant with the most points at the end of the match wins.
If no throws are made during the match, the more active competitor wins. The judges will determine the more active competitor after deliberation. If the judges cannot reach a consensus, an additional 30 seconds of extra time will be given. - Everyone is welcome to participate – no prior wrestling experience is required.
The organizers of Mud Wrestling reserve the right to modify the rules and terms of the contest. All participants will be notified of the changes before the start of the competition.
