Rules
Boozy Football will take place on the 2nd of May at Holm Park from 15.00 to 19.00. Participants must arrive at 14.00.
To register for Boozy Football, you need to fill out the registration form, which can be found on our website www.studentdays.ee and under the Facebook event. If there are free spots, you may also register at the Registration Event and in person
Every team has 5 participants. Participation fee is 25โฌ per team, which must be paid on the spot in cash.
All participants must be at least 18 years old.
Each team must have at least three students.
Participants must come to the event sober.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
24 teams will participate in the competition, with 5 members per team, including at least 3 students. There will be 4 team members on the field at a time, the fifth is a substitute.
The competition will be held in a tournament format. The table and schedule will be announced before the competition. Every team can play at least 2 games.
The competition will take place simultaneously on four fields, the semi-finals on two fields.
During the competition, each competitor must consume both light and strong alcoholic drinks. Personal alcoholic drinks are prohibited. Personal non-alcoholic drinks like water are allowed and even recommended.
Each team will receive a โdrinking cardโ where the drinks consumed before each game are marked.
Before each game, each participant must drink a predetermined amount of beer.
PITCH:
- The pitch is round shaped with 3 small goals, which are placed on the sidelines at a distance of ~โ of the circle from each other.
- There is a common drinking area in the middle of the fields, from where the competitors get drinks and must consume them there.
- If 3 teams cannot be together for the game, the field will be changed accordingly
PARTICIPANT AND EQUIPMENT:
- The participant must arrive at the competition sober, participants who have been intoxicated beforehand will not be allowed to compete.
- It is strictly recommended to bring a water bottle.
- Indoor and artificial grass football boots are allowed. Footwear with studs are prohibited.
- The team should have a common uniform (preferably a brightly colored shirt).
- Shin guards and other protective equipments are recommended.
EVENT RULES:
GAME:
- Each game lasts 12 minutes.
- Before each game, team members must drink the prescribed amount of beer.
- The team must go together to get pre-game drinks and drink these before the game.
- Consumed beers will be marked on the drinking cards, which are held by one team member.
- The drinking card is given to the assistant referee before each game.
- Teams that have the consumed beers marked, can play.
- 3 teams participate in one game on one field at the same time.
- 4 players from each team are on the field at a time.
- There is no limit to the amount of player substitutions.
- Each team is assigned their own goal.
- The objective is to score as many goals into either of the opponents goals.
- If a team manages to score a goal the scorer must go to the drinking area and drink (the game goes on, the goal scoring team will be short numbered for the period).
- Teams can substitute the drinker but only after the goal scorer has collected the drink.
- The drinker must be changed in the drinking area.
- The drink must be consumed by the team member currently playing and not by a substitute.
- Drinking takes place only in the drinking area and upon receiving a shot, a 15-second timer starts, during which the participant may not leave the drinking area.
- If a team manages to score a goal the scorer must go to the drinking area and drink (the game goes on, the goal scoring team will be short numbered for the period).
- In case of an own goal the referee decides if it unintentional or intentional:
- Inย case of an unintentional own goal the point is given to the opponent that touches the ball last and the player from that team that scored must go drink.
- The ball will be put back in play by the team that scored the own goal.
- In case of an intentional own goal points are given to both opposing teams and no one goes drinking.
- The ball will be put back in play by either of the opposing teams, decided on by the referee.
- Inย case of an unintentional own goal the point is given to the opponent that touches the ball last and the player from that team that scored must go drink.
- If the ball goes out of the the referee points to the goal of the team who gets to put it back in play.
- The ball will go to the team that didnโt touch the ball last.
- The exact team will be decided on by the referee.
- The ball will be put back in play from the ground (no throw-ins).
- The ball will go to the team that didnโt touch the ball last.
- You mustnโt hurt opposing players during the match.
- If the tempo of the game is too low in the opinion of the referee, a spinning wheel with tasks is introduced.
- The assistant referee spins the wheel.
- The task from the wheel applies to all three teams.
- The result of the game is formed in order of precedence based on the number of goals scored by the teams in the game.
- In the event of a tie, the referee will determine the order of play through penalties.
- A penalty is a precise shot into the goal from the opposite side of the field without a defender.
- Changes may occur in the final games.
REFEREES:
- Each pitch has 1 head referee. In addition, there is at least 1 assistant referee on court.
- During games, there is also at least 1 drinking referee in the common drinking area.
- The head referee is on the pitch, monitors the entire game and keeps score.
- The assistant referee moves between the pitches and monitors that the competitors comply with their drinking obligations and assists the head referee if necessary.
- The drinking referee is in the drinking area during the entire game and is responsible for ensuring that the competitors receive the correct drink and that they do not run away from the drinking area.
- All referees have the right to punish competitors based on the rules.
- The main referee punishes competitors mainly with cards.
- The assistant referee punishes competitors mainly through the main referee, after the match and etc.
- The drinking referees punishments accrue mainly after the match.
- Competitors must listen to all of the referees game related orders.
- Referees can punish competitors in the following ways:
- Cards
- Yellow (warning)
- Warning for a minor/moderate violation of the rules.
- If a player receives 2 yellow cards in the same game, he will automatically receive a red card, meaning he will be removed from the game.
- Orange (fine drink)
- Warning for a minor/moderate violation of the rules, but also for other reasons.
- The player who has been punished must go to the drinking area to drink a strong drink and consume the drink completely himself.
- Drinking takes place only in the drinking area and upon receiving a shot, a 15-second timer starts, during which the participant may not leave the drinking area.
- Red (removal from the game)
- Punishment for a major violation of the rules.
- A player who has received a red card must leave the field.
- The player may not return to the field during that game or participate in the team’s next games. Thus, the team will be in the minority until the end of the event.
- If 2 players from the same team receive a red card the team has automatically lost and is removed from the game.
- Yellow (warning)
- By changing the result after the game.
- The referee has the right to remove goals from the teams if a referee notices a violation that could not be punished in any other way during the game.
- Cards
- The referees have the right to change and add rules if necessary.
- The remaining general rules apply based on the EJL.
- The organizer of the event does not take responsibility for injuries or damage to the health of the participants that occurred during the event. Each registrant and participant in the game is responsible for their own safety and health.ย
- Every participant must be aware of the competition rules and sign a waiver.
- By registering for the competition, the participant confirms that they agree to all the rules of the competition.
- By registering for the competition, the participant consents to being photographed or filmed by photographers and videographers present at the event.
