Do you want to repeat your epic fall from the stairs of Trepp baar in front of a bigger audience? 🫣 Here is your chance – on the 29th of April you can conquer the slipperiest stairs of Tartu.
🔥Of course the lubricant will not be your only enemy, as there will also be a few surprises.🔥
If you don’t feel like climbing yourself, come and enjoy the unique show as a spectator!

💦 Registration starts on 6th of April at 18:00.
💦 Participation is FREE (limited number of places).
FOR PARTICIPANTS
⬜ The participants are expected to arrive at 19:30.
⬜⬜19:45-19:50 rules will be introduced.
⬜⬜⬜20:10 first participants will start competing.
⬜⬜⬜⬜Take your own water bottle, warm change of clothes, flip-flops, towel.

Rules
Slippery Stairs will take place on 29.04 from 20:00 to 23:00 on the beginning of Küüni Street (near the taxi parking area)
Participants must be there at 19:30.
To register for Slippery Stairs, you need to fill out the registration form, which can be found on our website www.studentdays.ee and under the Facebook event. The registered participant will receive a confirmation email with the necessary additional information.
Registration begins on 06.04 at 18:00
The participant must be atleast 18.
The participant must be sober.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Match participants will be drawn on site. Women and men compete together; there are no separate categories. In each round, competitors will have an extra task or obstacle, which will be revealed on site.
The event consists of five preliminary rounds, two loser rounds, three semifinals, and a final.
Preliminary round: 5 matches, with 5 competitors in each match. The three fastest competitors who reach the top advance.
Loser round: 2 matches. One competitor from each match returns to the competition.
Semifinal: Competitors who advanced from the preliminary and loser rounds compete. There are 3 matches: two matches with six competitors and one match with five competitors. The first two competitors in each match advance to the final.
Final: One match with six competitors.
Each match lasts a maximum of 7 minutes, and the organizer keeps track of the time. The goal of the competition is to reach the top of the slippery staircase.
If no competitor reaches the top within 7 minutes, the competitors who are the highest on the staircase when time runs out will advance to the next round.
EVENT RULES:
- Competitors MUST climb on their knees.
- Holding onto the stair railings is not allowed.
- Skipping steps is not allowed, unless stepping on them is impossible.
- Competitors are not allowed to climb using their feet.
- Competitors are not allowed to sabotage other competitors (intentionally pushing and/or pulling a fellow competitor), unless it is allowed due to a special task in that round.
- If the rules are violated, the competitor is called back to the start of the staircase and must start climbing again.
- In the case of repeated violations, the competitor is disqualified (ignoring the recall or continuing to violate the rules).
- EQUIPMENT: Participants are required to wear the equipment provided by the organizer, which includes a competition costume and a helmet. Dental guards are optional, but strongly suggested. Wearing socks is not allowed!
- The organizer of the event does not take responsibility for injuries or damage to the health of the participants that occurred during the event. Each registrant and participant in the game is responsible for their own safety and health.
- Every participant must be aware of the competition rules and sign a waiver.
- By registering for the competition, the participant confirms that they agree to all the rules of the competition.
- By registering for the competition, the participant consents to being photographed or filmed by photographers and videographers present at the event.
- The organizers of SLIPPERY STAIRS reserve the right to modify the rules and terms of the contest. All participants will be notified of the changes before the start of the competition.
