Maybe now it’s your time to shine?
After 7 years, Student Film is back — and that means only one thing: it’s time to put together an exceptionally talented team of students and shoot a wild dorm drama.
If you have a phone to film with and preferably a friend who has a bit of creative thinking and a sense of humor, you already have everything you need to make the best student film of 2026.
💥 Budget? €0 is totally fine.
🎭 Actors? Friends, a neighbor, your grandma, or your dog — doesn’t matter.
📝 Script? You choose the genre and storyline, but your film must include at least one clearly recognizable reference to Estonian film classics.
🎥 What’s next?
Your short film must be submitted by the evening of April 10. From all submissions, the jury will select the best films to be screened on the evening of April 25 at the film gala at Elektriteater, where the winners will be announced. All films will compete in one category.
